Edward Venero opened LIF week 2019 at Delfines Hotel
With an original parade inspired by the character of SpongeBob, the designer from Cusco Edward Venero, inaugurated the Lima Fashion Week in the Atlantis room (room with underwater tunnel), turning it into a stage full of color, music and bubbles That surprised all attendees. In a tribute to the twenty years of creation of the Nickelodeon icon, the collaboration presented trends such as tye die, neon colors and oversized garments.
‘The origin of the collection is stimulating and attractive. I have joined this great party with a festive mood and a display of garments that will be part of the daily life of its users. There is in this approach an essential concept of what I have always promoted: fashion is to live it, to make it part of reality and the imaginary at the same time, it is a territory of creativity attentive to the well-being of people, to their mood , to its history and identity. Recovering the pleasure of the game and the enjoyment of childhood characters is part of this project', said the designer days before the event.
The collection was a true reflection of the ‘Bikini Bottom’, a world full of adventures that, on this occasion, met the Peruvian icons of the knife, the stone of the twelve angles, the Peruvian dog, the alpaca; a fusion where the local and the global exchange forms and senses, to carry out the spectacle of the imagination, where everything intersects, to generate new realities.
The colorful proposal was baptized as ‘Peruvian Taste’, in reference to gastronomy, and explored the spaces of interculturality from the points of view of daily life and the recreation of animated characters. In addition, the designer clearly sees the projection of his brand. ‘I have my own spaces and sponsors, structure and guests, so I made my parade in Delfines Hotel, because I don't see it as a social event, but as a business event, '' he said in one of his interviews.
We thank the renowned designer Edward Venero for trusting Delfines Hotel & Convention Center to show his spring summer 2019 2020 collection, within the framework of Lima Fashion Week.
